More Fall Pictures from California’s Eastern Sierra

North Lake, Bishop Creek Canyon, CA
It was only Spetmeber 27th when we went to Eastern Sierra, but the slopes were already ablazed with colors.
Right now, the High Sierra may be already covered with thick snow, but the lower elevation may still have some fall foliage. If you are planning to do some leaf peeping for the next year’s fall in California, you can use this website: http://www.calphoto.com/fall.htm , for fall colors update.

Hi, nice photos.
I love autumnal scenes like these. I find it’s tricky to do justice to the vibrancy and the texture of what’s there. And the brightness of the sunshine reflected by the lighter leaves blasts out the photo somewhat.
But your picturs do a great job of showing variety of colours and contrasts. in the scene.

(I would be rude to mention your spelling mistake in the title, but…)

Then I look at my comment and HA! Spelling mistakes…
Also, it looks like I’m being a bit critical of your pics, now that I re-read. I meant that I’ve had difficulty capturing those aspects, and my recent photos of yellowing leaves in sunset have been blasted out by the intense light.
When do the amazing Californian poppies come out?
